On June 12, 2014, police in Houston, Texas arrested 44-year-old David Leblanc after they confiscated a substance that field-tested positive as marijuana.
On June 13, 2014, Leblanc pled guilty in Harris County Criminal District Court to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
After the Houston Police crime laboratory reported that tests were negative for the presence of any controlled substance, the Harris County District Attorney’s Post Conviction Review Unit jointly filed a motion with Leblanc’s defense attorney to vacate the conviction.
On July 15, 2014, the motion was granted and the charge was dismissed.
