Q: Where/how do I rent my academic attire?

Q: What size is the diploma?
A: 11" x 14"
Q: Will students receive their diplomas at the Senior Day ceremony?
A: No. Diplomas will be mailed to the student's permanent address in the weeks following the ceremony.
Q: Do I need to RSVP for Senior Day?
A: Yes. The graduate should RSVP for him/herself and any guests who will be attending with them. Please RSVP
here.
Q: Are tickets required to attend Senior Day?
A: Tickets are not required. All guests will be able to secure a seat. However, every graduate should
RSVP (see above).
Q: Is the Senior Day venue accessible by those with mobility concerns?
A: Yes. Upon their arrival at the venue, guests with mobility concerns should find a staff member, who will be able to assist with seating arrangements.
Q: Will the Law School provide wheelchairs or special parking for those with mobility concerns?
A: No. Please make early arrangements for guests needing wheelchair rental at
Hometown Pharmacy (734.747.8080) or
Wright & Filippis (734.975.6800). Please review
maps and
parking information ahead of time in order to identify appropriate places to park.
Q: How long will the ceremony take?
A: Generally, December Senior Day ceremonies last about 2 hours, and May Senior Day ceremonies last about 2.5 hours.
Q: What time must graduates arrive at the theater/auditorium?
A: Graduates must arrive 60-90 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time. All graduates will receive detailed instructions via email in the weeks prior to Senior Day.
Q: Where is the Senior Day venue?
A: December Senior Day is held at the Michigan Theater, located at 603 E. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor (about a 10-minute walk north of the Law Quad). May Senior Day is held at Hill Auditorium, located at 825 N. University Avenue (about a seven-minute walk north of the Law Quad).
Q: Will there be professional photographs taken at Senior Day?
A: Yes. Call Photography is the official commencement photographer for Michigan Law and will be taking multiple images of every student as they cross the stage. Call Photography will send each student a link to their images within 24 hours of the ceremony. Graduates, please fill out Call Photography's
check in form prior to graduation. The photographer will also take a class photo, which will be sent to you as a gift from the Alumni Relations Office. We also video record the ceremony. The video will be posted to the Michigan Law website within a couple of weeks after the ceremony.
Q: Which hotels are closest to the venue?
A: There are many hotels near campus, and some are within walking distance. Please see U-M's campus info web page
