Glynn Washington, ’96, will deliver the Senior Day keynote address on Friday, May 4, at Hill Auditorium. Washington is the host and executive producer of
Snap Judgment, the radio show and podcast distributed by NPR affiliate, WNYC.
Snap Judgment, which first aired on NPR stations in July 2010, currently airs on more than 400 public radio stations and is downloaded more than two million times each month.
Prior to creating the
Snap Judgment storytelling show, Washington worked as “an educator, diplomat, community activist, actor, political strategist, fist shaker, mountain hollerer, and foot stomper.” He also composed music for the Kunst-Stoff dance performances in San Francisco, performed live spoken word poetry in Detroit, joined a band in Indonesia, wrote several screenplays, painted a series of self-portraits, and released a blues album. He is a double Wolverine who holds a BA in political science and Asian studies in addition to his JD.
