A NEW LEASE ON LIFE At first glance, the Lawyers Club remains a celebrated example of the University of Michigan Law School's Collegiate Gothic style, but following a total interior renovation, made possible in large part by a $20 million gift from Charles T. Munger, HLLD '10, the structure has been transformed into a 21st century living space.
Members of the Michigan Law community and greater University celebrated the structure's grand reopening on August 19, 2013. Nearly a century old, the Lawyers Club now boasts an entirely new interior, which includes 227 fully furnished private rooms, complete with private or semi-private bathrooms, and 11 corridor lounges, known as Club Rooms, which provide space for study groups or social gatherings.
