Prisoners' Rights Organization of Students
The Prisoners' Rights Organization of Students (PROS) is an advocacy and education group dedicated to promoting the interests of individuals confined in our nation's prisons and jails. PROS puts on a variety of panels, discussion groups, and educational events each semester, each focusing on a different aspect of prisoners' rights and conditions of confinement. PROS works collaboratively with other groups, including the ACLU, Outlaws, Family Law Project, and others, to engage Michigan Law students in this incredibly important but often ignored issue. Our goal is to create visibility of prisoners' rights issues amongst the law school community and foster a collaborative environment for law students interested in pursuing prisoners' rights and social justice careers. To learn more about the Prisoners' Rights Organization of Students, please contact us via e-mail.
