Human Rights Advocates

Human Rights Advocates (HRA) is a student-led organization that promotes awareness of human rights issues through speakers, films, and volunteer work.

HRA's volunteer work is notable in that it connects Michigan Law students with real opportunities to perform human rights work during all three years of law school through diverse pro bono projects. These include Michigan Law initiatives such as the Syrian Accountability Project (SAP) and Human Rights Advocates International Grassroots Advocacy Project (Int GAP), as well as opportunities through outside organizations.

In addition to regular events and activities, HRA serves as a community for students, alumni, and practitioners to discuss human rights issues, develop projects, and find jobs and internships.
