Law School Classical Music Society
The Law School Classical Music Society (CMS) promotes an awareness of the complexities and beauty of classical music and shed light on the career opportunities that exist for law students within the classical music world. We seek to bring together members of the broader Law School community who share a passion for classical music by providing an association in which students and faculty may more effectively meet fellow musicians and legal scholars interested in the intersection of classical music and the law.
We host a number of musical events and social gatherings including Bach's Lunch, a performance during lunch where small-group ensembles perform for the Law School community in an informal setting. The organization also puts together social events and group concert outings in order to facilitate a deeper discussion of similarities that can be found within law and music, while allowing classical music enthusiasts and musicians to meet and get to know one another. Additionally, the Annual Law School Recital allows law student and faculty musicians to continue sharing their gift of music with others.
