Biography
Professor Stoner received his A.B. in 1904 and his LL.B. in 1906, both from the University of Michigan. Following his graduation, he practiced in the firm of Rosenthal & Hamill in Chicago from 1906-1907, joining the Law School as an instructor in 1907. He was promoted to assistant professor in 1910 and full professor in 1912. Professor Stoner taught in the area of municipal law. He left the faculty in 1917 to join the Army, returning to the faculty briefly in 1919. In 1919 he left the University and began a career at Detroit Pressed Steel Company, ultimately becoming the General Manager.
