Description: [THIS IS NOW A LIVE VIRTUAL PRESENTATION. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS].

Kathleen Rubenstein, Executive Director of the Skadden Fellowship Foundation, will speak with students and discuss this prestigious postgraduate fellowship. The Skadden Foundation has funded this 2-year post-graduate fellowship aimed at improving legal services for the poor for the past 40 years. Ninety percent of its fellows go on to remain in careers in public service. Michigan Law alums who are current and former Skadden fellows are representing veterans with disabilities in Michigan, helping former foster care children facing welfare proceedings in New York City, and providing trauma-informed direct representation for youth facing special education matters in North Carolina.

2Ls and soon-to-be-clerking 3Ls, join us to get tips and advice as you look for sponsoring organizations and begin thinking about potential projects. 1Ls, it is not too early to start learning about postgraduate fellowship opportunities! In her presentation, Kathleen will explain the process, answer any questions, and has agreed to meet individually with students throughout the day.

Prior to the meeting, Kathleen has requested that you review their FAQs on the website: https://www.skaddenfellowships.org/application.
