Description: Please join Steve Schulman, Pro Bono Partner, and Nimesh Patel, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, to learn about Pro Bono and Diversity & Inclusion at Large Law Firms. They will also discuss Akin Gump’s signature summer opportunities for 1L students. If you’ve thought about a future law firm career and have wondered how to combine your interest in the public good with private practice, join Akin Gump to learn more about how BigLaw does pro bono and diversity & inclusion. We’ll also talk about Akin Gump’s opportunities for law students to get involved from the very beginning.

The Pro Bono Scholars Program is a two-year summer program in which participants work at the firm and at a public interest organization their first summer. The Strauss Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program is a two-year summer program in which participants work at the firm and at a firm client the first summer while engaging in diversity and inclusion initiatives. During the second summer, Pro Bono Scholars & Strauss Diversity & Inclusion Scholars join the firm’s summer associate program.

Hear from former Pro Bono Scholars and Strauss Diversity & Inclusion Scholars, and stick around after the presentation to chat with us.

Please RSVP via Symplicity under "Events," then the Info Session you wish to attend.
