Description: Dr. Sohan Dasgupta will speak about Originalism.
Sohan Dasgupta specializes in constitutional, administrative and international law. He earned his J.D. from U.C. Berkeley (Boalt Hall) with the Order of the Coif; his Ph.D. in international law from the University of Cambridge; his M.Sc. from the University of Oxford; and his B.A. from Columbia University. Sohan Dasgupta clerked for Judge Consuelo M. Callahan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge David A. Faber of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. He has published numerous law review articles and his book International Interplay: The Future of Expropriation Across International Dispute Settlement (2013). Dr. Dasgupta presently serves as Special Counsel at the U.S. Department of Education.
