 Veterans Day/Remembrance Day/Armistice Day Speaker Event with Professor Fred Herrmann

Description: Come celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the armistice which ended the World War I on this day dedicated to honoring military veterans for their service. Professor Fred K. Herrmann, '91, will speak about his military service and his transition into law school and his career in law.

Professor Herrmann is a former chair of the Representative Assembly of the State Bar of Michigan, served on the State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners, and is a fellow of both the Michigan State Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation, and is an active member of the Detroit Chapter of the Veterans' Bar Association.

Following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1988, Professor Herrmann served as a logistics officer in the Marine Corps, deploying overseas with Second Battalion, Ninth Marines, and later served on the logistics staff of the First Marine Division. He also commanded H&S Company, First Battalion, Twenty-Fourth Marines, one of Detroit's own Marine Reserve units.

We will also be honoring Canada's Remembrance Day, Britain's Remembrance Day, and France's Armistice Day for our international colleagues.
