Description: Interested in a career in advocacy? Wondering about how your skills as a lawyer can translate to pushing governments and companies to do the right thing? Considering careers in technology law or civil liberties? Come join us for a coffee talk with Chris Calabrese, who works as an advocate for privacy protections, internet openness, limits on government surveillance, and fostering the responsible use of new technologies. Chris is the Interim Co-CEO at the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT), and previously served as legislative counsel at the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Washington Legislative Office. Come talk to Chris about his career and the role lawyers have in shaping law and policy in D.C. and beyond. Please RSVP via Symplicity under "Events," then the workshop you wish to attend.
