Description: Interested in working in police oversight? Curious about being a lawyer working in municipal government and public policy? Wondering how to make the jump from the private sector to the public sector? Come join us for a coffee talk with Asim Rehman, ’00, who works in local government doing police oversight as the former General Counsel and current First Deputy Inspector General for the New York City Police Department. His office oversees the policies and practices of the NYPD. It is a mix of civil rights, law enforcement, and municipal law. Come talk with Asim about his career and how to start on your own career path in local government and/or police oversight.
