Residential Ethernet in the Lawyers Club
In order to avail yourself of all Ethernet resources, please carefully review the ResComp Networking Guide provided during move-in to the Lawyers Club to help residents get connected to the Ethernet in the Residence Halls. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring your machine to use Ethernet in your Lawyers Club room. You must register your machine with ResComp and receive an IP address before using Ethernet. ResComp is the keeper of IP addresses for Club residents. After activating Ethernet via ResComp, a one-time-per-academic-year activation fee will be charged to your student account in early fall. This fee covers system support and operation. If you require consultation to fix an Ethernet problem, ResComp has in-room technical appointments available. They also offer complete machine set-up, from unpacking your computer to connecting it to the Ethernet in a one-hour appointment. All housing-related Ethernet services are accessed through ResComp, not the Law School. To report Ethernet problems in your room, call (64)7.1133.
