Law School Computing Resources
The following computing facilities and resources are available to U-M Law students:

Law School Printing
The Law School allows each law student, LLM, research scholar, and MACL student to print up to 800 pages (SJDs get up to 1200) of black and white laser printing per term on Law School-designated student network printers at no cost. Additional b&w pages are charged at 3 cents per page. Unused pages are not rolled over to the next term.

Any printing that exceeds the Law School printing limit will be billed directly to your University student account and charges will appear on your tuition statement.

To check your Law School printing usage
Go to the Law School Print Quota Page. You will need to log in with your uniqname and UMICH password.

U-M Services and Resources

All registered students on the Ann Arbor campus are eligible to receive the services and resources included in the Information Technology Services (ITS) Standard Computing Services at no charge.


Note: Anything over the Standard Computing Services limit will be billed directly to your University student account and charges will appear on your tuition statement.

You can check online at any time to see how much of these resources you have used during a term, and you can also check the services to which you are currently subscribed.


Check your standard computing services and Sites printing (non-Law School) usage

Sites Printing
The Basic Computing Package provides students with a $24.00 Sites printing quota. This quota is used to print to printers at Campus Computing Sites, ResComp Sites, and to the three Sites printers in the Law School. Black and white pages are charged at 6 cents per printed side. (Double-sided printing counts as two pages.)

Laptop Repair

ITS Tech Repair

Warranty and non-warranty hardware and software repairs for Apple (including iPad and iPhone), Dell, HP, Microsoft Surface, and devices covered by Safeware, plus low-cost assistance with a variety of laptop/desktop maintenance services for all types of computers.


Computer Protection

Antivirus Information
Free anti-virus software for U-M students; how to protect your computer from viruses and more.
Tools and tips for reducing spam.
User Advocate
For reporting unpleasant e-mail messages. User Advocate has the facilities to track down message senders, and authority to warn offenders in the University's name.

Campus Wireless
Available to U-M students, faculty, and staff.
Access locations include the Michigan Union, Michigan League, Angell Courtyard Campus Computing Site, and University Library system, plus more locations around campus.
