SUMMARY:Plaintiff Natalya Shuvalova and Defendant Joseph Cunningham met through eHarmony.com in 2005. Joseph proposed and Natalya and her daughter Liza (Co-Plaintiff) arrived in the U.S. to live with Joe and his 35-year-old son, Daniel Cunningham (Co-Defendant). Natalya claims that Joseph fraudulently lured her and her daughter from Russia. Defendants forced her and her daughter to perform hard labor outdoors (7 days a week, 8-10 hours per day), physical and verbally threatened and abused them, and made sexual advances towards her daughter. Defendants restricted Plaintiffs from any outside contact and denied them medical care. All claims besides the TVPA Forced Labor claim against Joseph were dismissed.
