Practice Areas: Women and Gender Law
Law School students, faculty, and staff have compiled the following list of resources to guide students interested in the Law as it affects women and gender issues. It is not an exhaustive list, but a place for you to begin your own research into this field. These are just some of the many opportunities and resources that you should take advantage of in pursuing your area of interest.
Law School Resources
Law Students for Reproductive Justice
Michigan Journal of Gender and Law
Women Law Students Association
The Law School has more than 50 student organizations, many which run their own public service projects. Please note that from academic year to year, new student organizations form while others may become inactive.
Office of Student Affairs
The Office of Student Affairs maintains a list of externship placement opportunities by practice area, and where available, comments from past externs.
The Office of Career Planning has developed a chart to provide an overview for the various legal settings for the top 25 practice areas. While the chart is not exhaustive, it can be used as a starting place to suggest practice settings you may not have considered for your chosen field.
Please note that although we provide links and resources, the University of Michigan Law School does not necessarily endorse any of the organizations listed. If any of the links above are broken or you have suggestions for additional resources, please contact email@example.com.
