1L, 2L, and Graduate Job Locations

Our 2010 graduates (the most recent information available) enjoyed a 98.3 percent employment rate, securing jobs at law firms, working as judicial clerks, serving as staff attorneys with government and public interest organizations, and working as non-practicing lawyers in business and teaching.

The maps below show where 2010 graduates found permanent employment, and where 2Ls and 1Ls accepted summer employment.

Our graduates disperse to an average of 34 states. For summer employment, students go to between 37 and 44 states. About one in five students goes to three different markets during the course of their time at Michigan Law, and most go to at least two different states. Our students pursue diverse options in many international markets as well, such as Belgium, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam.
