What has changed around campus since you were a student? A lot! From the past
decade alone, the roster of completed construction at the University includes the
Museum of Art renovation and expansion, the Cardiovascular Center, the Walgreen
Drama Center, Weill Hall, the new Mott Children’s Hospital, Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital, North Quad Residential Complex, and of course, the Law School’s new academic building (South Hall) and the Robert B. Aikens Commons. Check out these
new landmarks and spot your old favorites on this tour of Ann Arbor, focusing on
the U-M campus.

Every lawyer’s favorite on-campus housing has gotten a face lift. Be among the first to see the results of the yearlong renovation of the student rooms, part of which are
now known as the Charles T. Munger Residences in the Lawyers Club. Designed
to maintain the architectural integrity of the Quad while providing modern upgrades, the renovations include revitalized living spaces and common areas, as well as updated plumbing, heating, ventilation, technology, accessibility, and safety features.

Professor J.J. White, ’62, a favorite of Michigan Law students throughout his
48-year tenure in the Quad, taught his last class in December 2012. Don’t miss the
chance to hear the renowned commercial law scholar deliver one final Law School
lecture. Beware: Described by former students as “brilliant,” “funny,” and “one
of the toughest professors I ever had,” Professor White might still be tempted
to cold call.
 
Presentation of the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA)

A new tradition continues at Michigan Law: the presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award. The award recognizes extraordinary alumni who, through making an exceptional impact on their professions, communities, and/or Michigan Law, have exemplified the values and ethos of the University of Michigan Law School. A reception with the awardees will follow the presentation.

update on the Law School amid the historic and contemporary setting of Michigan Law.

Gather with old friends and new to enjoy picnic type food and non-alcoholic beverages.  (**Sorry:  due to state liquor license regulations and U-M campus policy, we are unable to serve alcohol.)  To find your classmates, look for class year signs located throughout the tent.

If you lived in the Phid House during your time at Michigan Law, stop by on your way to the football game to meet the current housemates and see how the house has changed -- and how it has stayed the same -- as it nears its 100th birthday. If you have any photographs of your time at Phid that you'd like to share with the current residents, please feel free to bring them!
