Professor Rebecca Hahn joined the University of Michigan Law School as a teaching fellow in the Michigan Innocence Clinic in May 2016. Prior to joining Michigan Law, she worked for six years as an assistant public defender in the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender in Chicago, where she represented clients in felony and misdemeanor charges ranging from DUI to murder and acted as the lead attorney on forensic science issues. Professor Hahn earned her BA from DePaul University and her JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she served on the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and was a public interest fellow and a research assistant for the Immigration Law Clinic. She also worked as a law clerk for the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic. Following law school, Professor Hahn was an attorney at Huron Consulting Group in Chicago. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Michigan.
