Connors, Margaret

Margaret Connors is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she received a BA in art education. She taught art for grades 1-12 for more than 12 years and was a seven-year entrant in the Ann Arbor Art Fair. She received an MA in special education for the emotionally impaired from Eastern Michigan University. While teaching art and running the 1-12 art program, she taught seventh-grade English and ran the Middle School Resource Room. While teaching, she began law school at night. She graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law and entered private practice in general civil litigation in Ann Arbor. After two years, she joined the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office under William Delhey. She was promoted to first assistant of the Cooperative Reimbursement Division, a position she held for four years before entering the criminal litigation department. She retired from the prosecutor's office after more than 18 years and worked for the Michigan Tax Tribunal as a contract referee.
