Shelley Rodgers directs the Law School’s communications and efforts, and provides strategic counsel and support to its leadership and many departments.

Prior to joining Michigan Law, Rodgers served in various public, nonprofit, and private sector positions in the higher education policy and legal industries. She previously was the communications director at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, where she led the firm’s strategic communications function, including multichannel marketing, external and internal relations, executive communications, crisis and reputation management, and social media strategy.

A Michigan native, Rodgers’s career began as a congressional page in the US House of Representatives. For many years she worked in Washington, DC, as an advocate for nonprofit higher education associations focusing on student access, financial aid, admissions, privacy, and enrollment issues.
