Professor Margaret A. Cernak, '89, has practiced in the areas of commercial, tort, and insurance coverage litigation with firms in southeastern Michigan since graduating from law school. In addition to working in private practice, Professor Cernak served as a full-time clinical assistant professor in Michigan Law's Legal Practice Program from 2000 to 2002. Since then, she has regularly returned to this position as an adjunct professor. A member of the State Bar of Michigan, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English literature, with high honors and distinction, in 1986. She earned her JD, cum laude, from Michigan Law in 1989.
