Professor Kathryn Sedo is a nationally recognized expert in individual income tax and procedure. She founded the University of Minnesota Tax Clinic in 1981 and directed the clinic until 2016. She is a frequent lecturer on tax topics ranging from innocent spouse to collection due process, and has litigated numerous cases in Tax Court. Professor Sedo is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and past chair of the Low Income and Pro Bono Committee. Professor Sedo is also past chair of the tax section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. Professor Sedo received her AB and JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan. After graduating from Michigan Law, she practiced law with the firm of Sedo and Darnton in Ann Arbor.
