Jason Cowin is a clinical teaching fellow in the University of Michigan Law School's Pediatric Advocacy Clinic. Before joining the Law School, Professor Cowin was a staff attorney at the Children's Law Center in Washington, D.C., where he represented children in abuse and neglect cases. Prior to his work with children, he was a law clerk at the Landlord Tenant Branch of the District of Columbia's Superior Court. Professor Cowin earned his BA in history with a minor in women's studies from the University of Delaware in 2010 and his JD, cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law in 2015. During law school, he participated in the Women and the Law Clinic, representing clients in domestic violence, immigration, student loan, and housing matters. He also volunteered as an advocate at DC SAFE, a crisis intervention agency for domestic violence in Washington, D.C.
