Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor Donald Moore, '88, is the Managing Member of U.S. Legal Advisors, PLLC (www.USLegalAdvisors.com), a Michigan-based law firm focused on Global Security, Transportation and Infrastructure projects and advising clients in the United States and around the world. Much of his work outside the United States involves projects in Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and various frontier jurisdictions.

Professor Moore's clients include public and private companies and investors and governments. For decades, he has represented banks, military and private-security companies, individual and institutional investors, natural resources companies (mining and oil and gas), and transportation companies (aviation, logistics, ports, shipping) and infrastructure projects. His experience and practice cover a full range of advice such as corporate and corporate governance matters, contract reviews and negotiations, investment and financing transactions, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and cross-border transactions, and public and private tender projects.

Professor Moore has served on the boards of public and private companies, including public-company audit, compensation, and strategy committees. Because of his business and finance background, he often advises clients in the early stages of their transactions. He also has served as a principal and board member of a successful hedge fund adviser, and a principal in a boutique investment bank focused on raising private equity and debt for businesses located in or doing business in Latin America. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of New York and the Vice Chairman of the Great Lakes Boat Building School.

Professor Moore received his BA in political science, with honors, from the University of Michigan; his JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School; and his MBA in international business, summa cum laude and valedictorian, from the University of Miami School of Business Administration.
