Donald Moore is senior counsel in the Ann Arbor office of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, and Stone PLC. He has a diverse corporate and finance practice for clients around the world. His experience and ongoing work includes projects in Africa, Asia, Brazil, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. His many years of experience and relationships in the Middle East, Asia, and the United States allow him to represent clients across the firm's global platform.
Professor Moore's clients include local and global, public and private companies such as family groups, aircraft operators and airlines, banks, military and private-security companies, distributors, individual and institutional investors, media and entertainment companies, natural resources companies (mining and oil and gas), and transportation companies (logistics, urban transportation, ports, and infrastructure projects). His experience and practice covers a full range of advice such as corporate and corporate governance matters, contract reviews and negotiations, investment and financing transactions, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and cross-border transactions, and public and private tender projects.
Professor Moore has served on the boards of public and private companies, including public-company audit, compensation, and strategy committees. Because of his business and finance background, he often advises clients in the early stages of their transactions. He also has served as a principal and board member of a successful hedge fund adviser, and a principal in a boutique investment bank focused on raising private equity and debt for businesses located in or doing business in Latin America. He is a member of the advisory board of JetSmarter Inc., the chairman of the Hong Kong Association of New York, a board member of the Great Lakes Boat Building School, and is on the board of directors of the University of Michigan Club of New York City.
Professor Moore received his BA in political science, with honors, from the University of Michigan; his JD,
cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School; and his MBA in international business,
summa cum laude and valedictorian, from the University of Miami School of Business Administration.
