Macen Stevenson

Other CIU Drug Cases
On May 7, 2014, Harris County, Texas Sheriff’s police arrested 20-year-old Macen Stevenson after they found him carrying what they believed was a single Xanax tablet without a prescription.

On May 28, 2014, Stevenson pled guilty in Harris County Criminal District Court to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 18 months of probation.

The pill was tested by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in August 2014 and was negative for any controlled substances. The Harris County District Attorney’s Post Conviction Review Unit informed Stevenson’s defense attorney and joined in a motion to vacate the conviction.

On August 27, the conviction was vacated and the charge was dismissed.
