Parental Information

You may or may not be required to submit parent financial information, depending on the following criteria:

1L Applicant

• If you were declared or were eligible to be declared as a dependent on your parents’ tax returns in any of the years from 2002 through 2006, you must submit your parents’ 2007 federal income tax returns and complete all sections of the Need Access including the parents questionnaire.
  


• Both parents’ data (Need Access and tax return) must be provided unless your parents were divorced before 2002. If they were divorced before 2002, only the more custodial parent should submit the required information.
  


• If you have NOT been declared as a dependent in all of the years from 2002-2006, complete only the student and spouse sections of the Need Access.

Transfer Applicant

• If you were declared or were eligible to be declared as a dependent on your parents’ tax returns in any of the years from 2001 through 2005, you must submit your parents’ 2007 federal income tax returns and complete all sections of the Need Access including the parents questionnaire.
  
  
• Both parents’ data (Need Access and tax return) must be provided unless your parents were divorced before 2001. If they were divorced before 2001, only the more custodial parent should submit the required information.
  
  
• If you have NOT been declared as a dependent in all of the years from 2001-2005, complete only the student and spouse sections of the Need Access.
