Fourteen Michigan Law Students spent their spring break down in hurricane ravaged Mississippi. Working with the Mississippi Center for Justice and Executive Director, Martha Bergmark, '73, they helped the over-taxed attorneys gather vital data to protect the rights of low-income renters. To see a video about this project that features Martha Bergmark and the Michigan Law student volunteers, go to the Mississippi Center for Justice Web site and click on "watch." Below are some of the pictures the students took trying to capture their experience. Two 1Ls,
Andrew Wakefield and
Elizabeth "Betsey" Wiegman, kept journals of their week-long experience. |
