Federal judge Cornelia Kennedy, '47, to receive honorary degree at Winter Commencement

Cornelia G. Kennedy, BA '45, JD '47, will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree at the University of Michigan's Winter Commencement at 2 p.m. Dec. 16 in Crisler Center. Kennedy, who recently retired as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and is the first woman appointed to the federal bench in Michigan, is one of the state's longest-serving jurists.
