Sustainable Future The annual Environmental Law and Policy Program (ELPP) Conference took place April 9 with a focus on environmental law and economics. High-profile speakers, including Gary S. Guzy, Deputy Director and General Counsel for the White House Council on Environmental Quality, discussed traditional approaches to reconciling environmental interests and economic concerns. Topics included "Cost-Benefit Analysis and Market-Based Approaches to Environmental Regulation," "The Green Economy and Efforts to Harmonize Sustainability and Economic Growth," and "Ecological Economics: Rethinking the Relationship Between Environment and Economics."
