Using My Record

Logging into your 'My Record' Account on the Catalog tab allows you to save your searches, request multiple books online, renew your books, modify your personal information in the library catalog database, contact the Circulation Unit by email, view your reading history, and more.

Enter your last name and UMID number to login.  Cite checkers please see your Managing Editors for instructions.


Preferred Searches

By logging in to your 'My Record' Account before searching, you will be able to save searches to reuse as a Preferred Search.

Using the Online Catalog

There are many online tutorials available on using our online catalog. Please see the Tours and Tutorials page.

Renewing Books

Law Library patrons may renew their own materials online. If you are not successful in renewing an item, ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk or email Circulation staff using a form on this site.

  1. Log in to your 'My Record' Account .
  2. You will see a button marked "Items Checked Out". Click the link to view the materials you have checked out.

  3. Sort your items if needed by selecting the Sort by Due Date button, which will put the items due soonest at the top.

  4. Select the materials you want to renew by checking the boxes in the RENEW column and then click the Renew Selected button. If you want to renew everything, click the Renew ALL button.

  5. If you cannot renew items, a message will appear on the screen. If you are successful, a new due date will appear in the "STATUS" column. Always check the STATUS column for information on the success or failure of your renewal.
