Student Employee Training
As an hourly employee, you are required to complete library-wide training based on your job here in the library. The following training checklist was given to you during your hiring interview with Admin. This checklist indicates which training module you must complete. You may obtain copies of the written training materials from this page (where available) or by visiting the Circulation Desk on S-2.
All student employees must complete certain training:
You will be paid for training. Punch in and out when you view videos, listen to audio tapes or attend a training session. You must complete this training in the law library. If class conflicts prevent you from attending ZingTrain, check with your supervisor.
Video and audio tapes are on reserve at the Circulation Desk on S-2. Audio tapes: check out a Walkman and earphones when you check out the tape. Video tapes: view them on VCR’s in the Open Reserve area. Don’t take tapes out of the building.
Go to the Circulation Desk on S-2 and ask if there is a patron record for you. If not, ask a regular staff member (8 - 5, Mon - Fri) to create one for you. This allows you to enter evenings & weekends for training and when you are scheduled to work.
The handouts for each session include a short quiz. Complete the quiz and give it to your supervisor to let your supervisor know that you have completed each session.
Consult the ORANGE FORM you received from Administration. This will indicate which training modules you must complete. If you do not have your ORANGE FORM, consult the Jobs List below.
