Public Use Computers

A limited number of computers are available in the Law Library for legal research. Eight terminals on Sub-1 are designated public access terminals to provide law students and pass holders access to the Law Library Catalog, Mirlyn, Kresge Library Catalog, U.S. government documents and other legal research materials on the world wide web.

There are also Public Terminals on Sub-1, Sub-2, and Sub-3 for access to the Law Library Catalog, as well as catalogs for other libraries on campus, i.e. Mirlyn and Kresge Library Catalog.

Three terminals near the top of the green staircase in the first floor corridor in the Legal Research Building are available for email and Internet use.

Printing

Printing from the eight computer terminals on Sub-1 costs 10¢ a page and requires a photocopy card.

Wireless

Wireless access is available in the Smith underground addition, for University of Michigan law and Kresge Business Administration students only.

Ethernet

There are also Ethernet access ports located in the Sub-1 Core.  Ask at the Reference Desk for information or to borrow an Ethernet cord.

Bloomberg, Lexis & Westlaw

Use of LEXIS/NEXIS and Westlaw are limited to University of Michigan law faculty, staff, and students pursuant to the terms of the Law Library’s contract.
