There are also Public Terminals on Sub-1, Sub-2, and Sub-3 for access to the Law Library Catalog, as well as catalogs for other libraries on campus, i.e. Mirlyn and Kresge Library Catalog.

Additional options for University of Michigan law students

Printing

Printing from the seven computer terminals on Sub-1 costs 10¢ a page and requires a photocopy card.

Internet Access

Campus-wide wireless access is available to University of Michigan faculty, staff, and students.

Access to the University of Michigan wireless network is also available to any patron with a legal research need who holds a pass to use the Law Library.

To get access, submit the Wireless Access Application at the Circulation Desk on Sub-2. Once access is set-up you will be able to access the University of Michigan wireless network from any campus building.

Please note that access to the University of Michigan wireless network does not provide you with access to any other UM resources, including electronic resources. Please contact the Reference Desk for more information on accessing electronic resources.

There are also Ethernet access ports located in the Sub-1 Core.  Ask at the Reference Desk for information or to borrow an Ethernet cord.

Bloomberg, Lexis & Westlaw

Use of LEXIS/NEXIS and Westlaw are limited to University of Michigan law faculty, staff, and students pursuant to the terms of the Law Library’s contract.  Other patrons can access much of the same content using LexisNexis Academic & Westlaw Patron Access.

Bloomberg passwords are also limited to University of Michigan law faculty, staff, and students. There is one stand-alone Bloomberg terminal in the Library that all patrons may use; see the Reference Desk for more information.
