For all Electronic Resources go here.
Most electronic resources licensed by the Law Library are accessible from any computer within the University of Michigan Network although some are limited to the Law School Network or the Law School building only. Access restrictions are indicated when applicable.
HeinOnline (access restricted to UM Network) consists of pdf copies of important legal materials including cases, a large legal journal database, laws, and other legal materials including the Federal Register and the Congressional Record.
LexisNexis Academic (access restricted to UM Network) is a full-text searchable database that includes legal journals, legal and non-legal news, cases, statutes, and regulatory materials.
Electronic Journals List allows you to locate electronic legal journals by title or subject. All of these journals are also in the Law Library Catalog.
Find an Electronic Article allows you to enter citation information that can bring you directly to a full-text legal journal article. You can also get to the Find an Article tool from the Electronic Journals List; when you locate a title that you want in the Electronic Journals List, choose the “Look up Article” link and the journal title and ISSN number will be automatically filled in.
Search Multiple Resources (may require authentication) allows you to search multiple indexes, full-text databases, and catalogs with a single search.
Proquest Congressional Link (access restricted to UM Network) is a searchable database of United States Congressional materials. Many materials are abstracts, but full-text portions include Congressional Hearings and the United States Congressional Serial Set.
Michigan Legislature website contains access to current bills and bill analyses, Michigan Compiled Laws and House and Senate Journals.
ICLE Law Library Package (access restricted to CALR terminals on Sub-1 of the Law Library). This resource contains searchable full-text publications on Michigan Law written and published by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. ICLE publications are a great source for learning about Michigan law and many publications also include sample forms.
Shepard’s (access restricted to CALR terminals on Sub-1 of the Law Library). Use this citator to make sure your cases and other legal support are still good law. The Law Library Shepard’s subscription also includes the ability to link to the cases themselves and allows you to pull up materials by citation using “Get a Document”.
Westlaw Patron Access (access restricted to CALR terminals on Sub-1 of the Law Library). Includes access to federal and state cases and laws, Michigan analytical materials like Michigan Pleading & Practice and Michigan Civil Jurisprudence, and the Keycite citator.
