Promising Practices Award
the award
To increase organizational effectiveness and build the capacity of student organizations, the Office of Student Affairs will give a "Promising Practice Award" to student organizations with excellent and innovative management practices. In addition to receiving a cash prize for their group, the top two ideas will be published here so other groups can take advantage of these ideas and make their groups even better.
Management practices
Student representatives may submit ideas related to any successful management practice. We believe that the most promising practices are those that increase institutional knowledge, sustain growth, generate revenue, create smooth leadership transitions, are easily replicated, improve efficiency, and lead to thriving, well-managed organizations.
eligibility
Student organizations must be officially recognized by LSSS, registered with the Office of Student Activities and Leadership, and have a valid SOAS account.
Selection criteria
The Office of Student Affairs will consider the narrative responses to the questions on the submission form, the viability of the submitted Promising Practice, and the demonstrated success of the organization.
