Student Network for Asylum and Refugee Law

The Student Network for Asylum and Refugee Law (SNARL) is a student-led organization committed to human rights, with a particular focus on refugee and migrant protection and the advancement of refugee and migrant rights. SNARL recognizes the vital role of refugee and asylum law in today's world and aims to create awareness of and alleviate the plight of refugees.

Through speakers, films, interactive simulations, volunteer work, and lobbying efforts, SNARL seeks to help the students of the University of Michigan Law School become effective refugee and human rights advocates, and to promote broader awareness of the social, economic, and legal challenges faced by refugees.

In addition to regular events and activities, SNARL serves as a community for students, alumni, and practitioners to discuss refugee and human rights related issues, develop and organize projects, and find jobs and internships.
