Law Students for Responsible Divestment from Fossil Fuels
Law Students for Responsible Divestment from Fossil Fuels is dedicated to persuading the University of Michigan to divest from fossil fuel investments in a financially and procedurally responsible manner. We are currently advocating for divestment from coal and oil equity and debt instruments. These investments comprise approximately 1% of the University's endowment. We believe that divesting from coal and oil is in line with the precedent established by the University's past divestment efforts, and is necessary to adhere to the University's core values.LSRDFF gives law students the opportunity to research the University's process and precedent for divestment, gain written and oral advocacy experience, gain general issue-advocacy experience, and work with campus leadership. To learn more about Law Students for Responsible Divestment from Fossil Fuels, please contact us via e-mail.
