Biography
Yvonne E. Mena Mayer grew up in Chicago and did her undergraduate work at Northwestern University. She graduated from Michigan Law in 1986, and then practiced with Schiff Hardin & Waite in Chicago until 1991, when she came back to the Law School. While teaching in the clinical law program, she was active in the asylum and refugee program that provided assistance to Haitians.
