A $5,000.00 scholarship is being offered to all current or incoming law students. To be eligible the student must demonstrate commitment to advancing equality for the LGBT community in Orange County. Students must also be available if requested to participate in an interview with the scholarship committee in May 2013. Students must also be available, if selected, to attend the OCLBA Anniversary Party on July 10, 2013 in Orange County.

The Kern County Women Lawyers Association of Bakersfield, California awards scholarships to both female and male law school students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, good academic standing, and have a connection to Kern County. The Foundation is very interested in candidates who have interests and experiences concerning issues facing the profession and, in particular, those issues important to women. Recent scholarships have ranged from $250 to $3000.

Application for the Scholarship is open to a person who is in his or her first year at a law school or who is applying to law school. Students may apply for Graduate and Medical Student Scholarships from the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. Applicants must have attended at least four of the six secondary grade school years and graduated from a high school in Santa Barbara, California. Applicants must also be full-time medical or graduate students at an approved U.S. college or university. Areas of study include medicine, law, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, business, education, and a variety of Master's and Ph.D. programs.
