Description: Join Kylee Sunderlin (’13), Senior Staff Attorney with the Brooklyn Defender Services, Family Defense Practice to discuss careers in criminal and family defense and what it is like to work at BDS, one of the premiere public defender organizations in the country, which provides over 40,000 clients with criminal, family, immigration, and civil legal services. Kylee will also be on campus interviewing for full time positions with BDS’ Family Defense and Criminal Defense Practices.

Prior to joining BDS in 2015, Kylee was a Soros Justice Fellow at National Advocates for Pregnant Women. While in Law School, Kylee took part in the Pediatric Advocacy Clinic, interned with the ACLU, and worked for the University of Michigan's Program in Sexual Rights and Reproductive Justice. She also won the Jane L. Mixer Memorial Award for her demonstrated commitment to advancing social justice. Come hear Kylee talk about her work on behalf of individuals through BDS’ Family Defense Practice and ask about her public interest career path.
