Description: Join alumni from both the public and private sectors for a panel discussion aimed at providing first-year law students with an introductory sense for the breadth of what “transactional” work looks like in practice. Panelists will share their experiences and provide insights into reasons why an attorney might choose a transactional practice as a career path. Panelists include: Jeana Johnston (UMLS ‘13), Corporate Associate at Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston; Dorothy Heebner (UMLS '15), Associate at Miller Canfield in Detroit; and Rebecca Navin (UMLS ’04), General Counsel at Detroit Economic Growth Corporation. This event is part of OCP’s “A Lawyer’s Life” series. A non-pizza lunch will be provided.
