Description: The Law of Chill: FREE YOGA for Law Students!

Pursuing an advanced degree is a challenging and rewarding experience. It can also, at times, be taxing on the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga teacher Stephanie Hicks will lead Michigan Law students through an eight-session yoga program designed to introduce students to the physical presence of yoga, as well as some of its philosophical roots. Sessions will include asana (physical postures), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation (Dhyana). NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE with yoga is necessary for participation!!

Classes will feature an opening meditation and introduction of theme, vinyasa flow (breath-aligned movement) style, and restorative yoga cool down. Each class will be followed by snacks, water, and Q&A with Stephanie.

Oct. 10, 4:15 - 5:15 pm, Vinyasa Flow
Oct. 18, 4:30 - 5:30 pm, Restorative Postures
Oct. 25, 4:30 - 5:30 pm, Vinyasa Flow
Nov. 7, 4:15 - 5:15 pm, Arm Balances
Nov. 14, 4:15 - 5:15 pm, Restorative Postures
Dec. 5, 4:15 - 5:15, Restorative Postures

All sessions will take place in the Lawyers Club Lounge. (You do NOT need to be a member of the Lawyers Club to participate!) If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it.
