Winter 2019 Class Descriptions

As of 3/5/2021 12:12:40 AM

Public Law Workshop

This workshop will engage legal scholarship in the areas of administrative law, constitutional law, and public law generally, with a particular emphasis on governance strategies to address stubborn imbalances in wealth, market power, and political influence--as well as critiques of those strategies. About half of the sessions will feature a visiting scholar presenting a work-in-progress. For the other half of the sessions, participants will read cases, scholarship, and other materials addressing the subject of the upcoming working papers and will discuss the materials in a standard seminar format. Students will be expected to write approximately 8 response papers over the course of the semester and to participate actively in discussion each week. Sessions with speakers are open to the academic community at large.
