Critical Issues in Law and DevelopmentThis seminar investigates the role of law and legal institutions in international economic development. We will survey several critical topics in the relevant literature, such as property rights, the role of the judiciary, rule of law, constitutionalism and democracy, law and finance, corruption and social norms, and others. Students are expected to present and submit a research paper by the end of the term.
