Law School students, faculty, and staff have compiled the following list of resources to guide students interested in asylum, refugee, and immigration law. It is not an exhaustive list, but a place for you to begin your own research into these fields. These are just some of the many opportunities and resources that you can take advantage of in pursuing your public service interest area.

Student Network for Asylum and Refugee Law Project ("SNARL")

The Law School has more than 50 student organizations, many which run their own public service projects. Please note that from academic year to year, new student organizations form while others may become inactive.

Programs
Refugee and Asylum Law
The Program in Refugee and Asylum Law brings together students, visiting scholars, and faculty with a commitment to reconciling international legal principles to the practical challenges posed by involuntary migration in all parts of the world. Each year up to six graduates of the International Refugee Law course are awarded a Michigan Fellowship in Refugee and Asylum Law. The recipients of a Michigan Fellowship receive a stipend for living and travel expenses to enable them to undertake a summer internship with one of a select group of partner organizations. These are just some of the many opportunities and resources that you should take advantage of in pursuing your public service interest area.
