Here we highlight a few Web sites that are frequently used by Law School students in their search for a public service oriented internship, fellowship, or career.
- Jobnet - A searchable database sponsored by OPS containing summer and permanent public interest and government job postings as well as information on fellowships.
- Idealist - Lists over 45,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries, which users can search or browse by name, location or mission.
- PSLawNet - Provides a comprehensive clearinghouse of public interest organizations and opportunities for lawyers and law students.

- Alliance Defense Fund - Links to conservative legal organizations that defend religious liberties.
- Alliance for Justice - Links to environmental, civil rights and consumer advocacy groups.
- Chronicle of Philanthropy - Timely articles on fundraising and the nonprofit sector. Includes national job opportunities.
- Columbia Law School - The Career Development Office has some useful public interest guides.
- Essential Information - This Web site includes extensive information on a variety of public interest organizations.
- Fair Housing - Links to a list of positions for lawyers, advocates, and nonprofit managers with organizations worldwide.
- Federal Jobs Search Page - This Web site is similar to Fedworld and has local and regional listings not found elsewhere.
- Foundation Center Job Corner - Listings for attorneys and many non-litigation listings in development, policy, programming, communications and non-legal advocacy within the nonprofit world.
- Illinois Legal Advocate Job Board - This is a training support site for legal aid advocates in Illinois. The job page contains job openings in Illinois.
- Institute for Global Communication - Links to a progressive job/volunteer database.
- Mountain States Legal Foundation - This Web site has links to over 50 national conservative legal organizations.
- The National Center for State Courts - Links to court Web sites across the country, many of which also list local positions available.
- National Council of Nonprofit Associations - State-by-state alliance of nonprofits in the United States providing a network of 40 state and regional associations with a collective membership of more than 20,000 community nonprofits.
- Nonprofit Career Network - Lists national and international jobs that can be searched by type and location. Also has information on nonprofit job fairs, conferences, and conventions.
- NPO-NET - Listing of nonprofit internet resources. Volunteer and paid intern opportunities in Chicago area nonprofits are listed.
- Opportunity Knocks - Resource for nonprofit jobs in many fields.
- Public Interest Research Group - Lists jobs nationwide for advocates, organizers, and litigators in environmental, consumer and health law.
- ReliefWeb - Is the world’s leading on-line gateway to information on humanitarian emergencies and disasters. This site offers international employment opportunities.
- Society of American Law Teachers - SALT is a society of law teachers dedicated to making a difference through the power of law. A variety of public interest and academic permanent positions from all over the country are posted.
- Society for Nonprofit Organizations - Publisher of Nonprofit World, a resource guide for nonprofit professionals. Serves as a resource for Board members, paid staff, and volunteers who lead or help nonprofit organizations all around the world.
