MaryAnn Sarosi
MaryAnn Sarosi, '87, joined the University of Michigan Law School as the Assistant Dean of the Office of Public Service in 2004. A graduate of both the University of Michigan and the Law School, Sarosi founded and served as Executive Director of the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS) in Chicago. In her five years with CARPLS, she saw the organization become a model for providing urban multi-program low-income legal services. A year later, the American Bar Association awarded Michigan's Access to Justice Program its Harrison Tweed Award for outstanding leadership and commitment to providing low-income people with access to justice. For the three years prior to becoming director of the Office of Public Service, Sarosi ran an independent consulting practice supporting legal services programs, nonprofit agencies, courts, and other law-related entities. MaryAnn is located in Room 217 Hutchins Hall.
