Laptop Settings
We realize that this is a very stressful time of the year and that your main concerns are on the content and not the process of taking exams. To ensure that all goes well on exam day, please configure all EBB laptop settings for your operating system:
- create Laptop Exam power settings profile
- disable screen saver and hibernation
- disable Synaptics virtual scrolling (if it applies to your computer)
- set language and keyboard input to English-United States
- disable dial-up Internet prompts
- un-install Microsoft Works Suite Add-in (if it applies to your computer)
- create shortcut to the Submit Exams Web site
LawIT has created a program that will automatically check your current
Windows laptop settings
(a Mac version is currently being developed), inform you which settings need changing prior to taking an EBB exam, and configure the settings for you. After your exams have finished, you can use this program to restore your original laptop settings.
Please try our
EBB Configuration Program and
tell us what you think.
Note: Some XP users will need to install .Net Framework Version 2.0 in order to run this program. Download
.Net software.
